DOWNLOAD 50 MUST SOLVE QUALITY QUESTIONS/SOLUTIONS ON DATA INTERPRETATION AND LOGICAL REASONING BASED ON NEW CAT PATTERN PART -1

As per the new CAT-2015 pattern, there is going to be a separate section on LR/DI .This section is going to consist of 32 questions which should be solved within a time limit of 1 hour.During my 11 years of teaching experience , I have  observed that the LR/DI section can make or break your IIMs dream. During initial preparation, students perform well but the problem starts when the MOCK kicks in :

Problems Faced:

  •  Unable to solve problems within time limits.
  • Faced with mixed problem set ( initially they have solved question topic wise like  arrangement, ranking but what they face in actual cat and mocks are a set of  mixed type
  •  Not getting the logic involved in the problem .
  •  Taking too much time in calculation.

How to improve the Data Interpretation and logical reasoning for cat by overcoming these difficulties:

  •  I would strongly recommend students to go through previous year CAT papers, for this is the best question bank of quality questions and some or the other concepts do get repeated in CAT.
  • Analyse your mistakes by later comparing your answers with the solutions.
  • Make proper revision notes :Student usually ignore this part ,they just keep on practising without preparing any notes for last minute revision  (I am going to write a separate article on this one as it requires significant attention)
  • Practising Mixed problem set: Below I  am providing a mixed set of questions for both LR and DI which are similar to CAT new pattern and have some of the best Data Sufficiency  questions .Please go through them meticulously and for solution please go through my next article:
